Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider to join our EMS Special Events Team. You will deliver on-site care at event Medical or First Aid Stations, coordinating, communicating and providing high-quality patient care.

The role requires EMT/Paramedic or RN MN licensure with relevant experience and the ability to demonstrate BLS competencies within 3 months of hire. Prior EMS experience is preferred for handling high acuity patients at events.

Qualifications

• EMT certified in MN through the EMSRB or Paramedic certified by MN EMSRB or RN MN with critical care/ED experience.
• Education: High School diploma or GED.

Regions Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider with excellent communication skills to join our EMS Special Events Team. Responsibilities

• Coordinating care of high acuity patients to expedite treatment and /or transportation to the ED
• Communicating with other event medical staff and assigning patient care needs
• Communicating with the EMS and police personnel as necessary
• Observing, participating and managing overall patient care to facilitate care and resolve issues or potential problems.

The BLS Provider may provide work direction to BLS care providers; perform and document dependent functions such as carrying out EMS Medical Directors medical orders and perform diagnostic and treatment procedures; provide a safe environment; coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, family, EMS personnel and other health professionals.

The BLS Provider will be required to demonstrate all BLS Provider Competencies for event medicine providers as prescribed by the Office of the EMS Medical Director within 3 months of hire.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED

Licensure / Registration / Certification: EMT certified in the State of MN through the EMSRB -or- Paramedic certified by the State of MN EMSRB -OR- licensed RN in the State of MN with critical care or ED experience.
