Job summary

Texas A&M International University seeks an Athletic Assistant (Baseball) to provide broad administrative support for the Athletics Department and assist the head coach in team administration. You will help with practice sessions, student-athlete progress, and travel coordination while ensuring adherence to NCAA rules.

The role requires strong organizational skills, professional communication, and the ability to multitask in a busy athletics program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year coaching assistance experience or three years of related coaching/playing experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists the head coach with administrative responsibilities.
• Analyze and distribute video information.
• Coordinate and schedule practice sessions.
• Assist with arrangements for team travel, hotel accommodation and other related needs.
• Updates various student athlete databases.
• Assists in recruiting efforts. Organizes on-campus visits by prospective student athletes. Provides tours of campus athletic facilities.
• Assists with summer camps.
• Assist the head coach in monitoring the eligibility of student athletes.
• Assist the head coach at practices and related responsibilities as needed.
• Maintains familiarity with NCAA, Conference and University rules and ensures compliance.
• Establishes communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for student-athletes.
