Job summary

ServiceSource on a Marine base in Virginia is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee all dining facility operations, including supervision, scheduling, staffing, and quality control to meet contractual requirements. You may select equipment and handle purchasing of food and supplies under the Project/Division Manager.

Responsibilities include safety trainings, HACCP adherence, cash handling, menu review, and maintaining cleanliness and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years’ cafeteria or multi-food service facility management experience preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certification or ability to obtain within six months required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of ServiceSource employees, including direction, counseling, and scheduling.
• Conduct safety, food service, and food safety trainings and maintain records.
• Supervise cashiers in collecting and accounting for cash for meals served.
• Ensure ServiceSource employees meet Sodexo and Marine Corps appearance and conduct requirements.
• Oversee purchasing, receiving, sorting, issuing and inspecting foods and related items; maintain HACCP controls and proper refrigeration temperatures.
• Review and approve menus; recruit replacements.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the dining facility and report deficiencies.
• Perform inventories on supplies and equipment.
• Conduct Quality Control inspections in all contract areas.
• Supervise time sheets and payroll entry; ensure hours are reported.
• Train employees and maintain training records; improve welfare and morale.
• Perform maintenance inspections and report results to management.
• Supervise production and serving of meals and ensure Master Menu is followed.
