Job summary

ServiceSource Inc is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee Dining Facilities on Base, including supervision, scheduling, staffing, coordination, and quality control to meet contractual requirements.

The role involves selecting equipment, purchasing food and supplies, and ensuring contractual compliance under the direction of the Project/Division Manager. Salary is $45,000 annually with a schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years’ experience managing a cafeteria or multi‑food service facility preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certificate or ability to obtain within six months required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of ServiceSource employees, including counseling and scheduling.
• Conduct safety, food service, and food safety training and maintain records.
• Supervise cashiers in collecting and accounting for cash for meals.
• Ensure employees meet Sodexo and Marine Corps appearance and conduct requirements.
• Manage purchasing activities: receiving, sorting, issuing, inspecting foods and related items.
• Maintain HAACP controls, check refrigeration temperatures, and enforce all food safety rules during preparation, serving, and cleanup.
• Review and approve menus.
• Recruit replacements.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining facility; conduct inspections and report deficiencies.
• Perform inventories of supplies and equipment.
• Conduct quality control inspections in all contract areas.
• Supervise production and serving of each meal and ensure Master Menu compliance.
• Supervise time sheet completion and forward to payroll.
• Train employees, maintain training records, and promote morale.
• Perform maintenance inspections and report results to Building General Manager or Project/Division Manager.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
