Job summary

Summitbsa is seeking staff to welcome High Adventure guests and run evening programs at the Summit trek camp in West Virginia. The role includes greeting guests, sharing information on hours and activities, and coordinating check-in and departure processes.

You'll help facilitate evening activities, ensure safety and order, and complete an end-of-season report with recommendations for improvements. A positive, service-minded attitude and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18+
• General computer skills (Excel, Word, software navigation)
• Valid driver license and ability to obtain a Summit Driving Permit
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

Responsibilities

• Greet SBR trek guests as they arrive
• Provide information about Summit evening program, dining hall hours, store hours, etc.
• Facilitate evening activities in trek camp
• Oversee the daily check-in, departure, and verification of trek guests for whitewater
• Write an end-of-season report to include operational improvements for your area
• Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
• Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
• Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
