Infosoft Inc. in Bellevue, IL is seeking a talented BAS Project Manager to lead end-to-end Building Automation, HVAC, and energy projects.

You will coordinate internal teams, field resources, and subcontractors to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across the territory.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead building automation projects from post-sale release through system checkout and client turnover.
• Maintain proactive communication with project owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal stakeholders to align schedules and objectives.
• Forecast manpower requirements, manage materials, and schedule field resources to optimize efficiency.
• Direct and oversee subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and timelines.
• Manage project financial performance, including progress billings, change orders, RFIs and RFPs.
• Identify potential risks and implement solutions to protect budgets and timelines.
• Develop long-term, trust-based relationships with clients and partners to encourage repeat business.

We are looking for BAS Project Manager

Position Summary

Are you ready to drive the next generation of smart building technologies? As a BAS Project Manager, the candidate will lead the end-to-end delivery of Building Automation, HVAC, Energy, and Retro-commissioning projects.

The candidate will coordinate internal teams, specialized field resources, and external subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will oversee multiple concurrent projects across the assigned territory while driving innovation, energy efficiency, and operational excellence for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Execution: Lead assigned building automation projects from post-sale release through system checkout and client turnover.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain proactive communication with project owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep schedules and project objectives aligned.
• Resource & Workforce Planning: Forecast manpower requirements, manage material logistics, and schedule field resources to optimize efficiency and site productivity.
• Subcontractor Management: Direct and oversee subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, project specifications, and timelines.
• Financial Stewardship: Manage project financial performance, including accurate progress billings, timely change orders, and prompt handling of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and roadblocks early and implement solutions before they affect project budgets or timelines.
• Client Relationship Building: Develop long-term, trust-based relationships with clients, building owners, and project partners to encourage repeat business and strengthen client loyalty.

Required Qualifications & Capabilities

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of construction-related project management experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), or related mechanical/electrical control fields.
• Communication & Customer Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-first mindset.
• Adaptability & Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to changing project requirements.
• Organization & Multitasking: Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously.
• Problem Solving: Strong conflict-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Software Proficiency: High proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree with at least 2 years of construction project management experience in building automation, mechanical systems, or HVAC; or
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Ability to kneel, squat, twist, bend, and reach regularly.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, use hand tools with dexterity, and grasp or manipulate small objects.
• Ability to properly wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by site conditions.
• Ability to regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, and operate phones and computers.

Anticipated Salary Range & Benefits

• Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience.
