Job summary

Jobot is seeking a BAS Programmer in Bismarck, ND. The role centers on hands‑on field work and supporting projects from the office, turning sequences into working building systems and integrating complex equipment.

You will program, configure, and commission BAS/DDC systems, build system graphics, and work with BACnet, Modbus, and other protocols. This is a growth‑oriented, hands‑on opportunity with cross‑team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming and commissioning commercial BAS/DDC systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls strategies, and building operations.
• Experience integrating with third‑party equipment and open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON).
• Familiarity with platforms such as Tridium Niagara (N4/AX) or Schneider EcoStruxure.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and commission BAS/DDC systems based on project sequences and contract documents.
• Build out system graphics and user interfaces for clear visibility of building systems.
• Integrate third‑party equipment and systems using BACnet, Modbus, LON and other protocols.
• Support projects through startup, commissioning, and turnover—both remotely and onsite.
• Work with Project Managers, engineers, and customers to ensure systems are delivered as designed.
• Participate in jobsite walkthroughs, commissioning activities, and customer demonstrations/training.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during installation and startup phases.
• Maintain organized project documentation including backups, as‑builts, and closeout materials.
