Job summary

Jobot is seeking a BAS Programmer for our Building Automation team in Bismarck, ND. You will program, configure, and commission BAS/DDC systems, build graphics, and integrate third-party equipment to operate seamlessly in real buildings.

The role combines fieldwork with office support, requires 5+ years of BAS experience, and offers a strong benefits package including a company vehicle, comprehensive medical coverage, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming and commissioning BAS/DDC systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls strategies, and building operations.
• Experience integrating with third-party equipment and open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON).
• Familiarity with platforms such as Tridium Niagara (N4/AX) or Schneider EcoStruxure.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and commission BAS/DDC systems per project documents.
• Build system graphics and interfaces for end users.
• Integrate third-party equipment using BACnet, Modbus, LON and other protocols.
• Support projects through startup, commissioning, and turnover onsite and remotely.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and customers to deliver as designed.
• Participate in jobsite walkthroughs, commissioning activities and training.
• Troubleshoot issues during installation and startup.
• Maintain project documentation including backups and as-built files.
• Provide updates on progress to support delivery timelines.
