Job summary

Amentum is seeking a BAS Operator/Controls Technician to join our team in Springfield, VA. The role requires US citizenship and a Top Secret security clearance.

Duties include maintaining and repairing building controls and automation systems, diagnosing issues, and ensuring energy-efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of building controls experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to interact with occupants in person or by phone.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and writing proficiency.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building controls and automation.
• Certification as a building automation system operator (Siemens APOGEE; BACnet).
• MD Stationary Engineer license level 1 or DC Stationary Engineer license level 3.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of building controls and automations systems.
• Diagnose control system concerns and ensure occupancy comfort.
• Troubleshoot local controllers, wiring, programs and schedules.
• Ensure proper set-points, schedules and sequences of operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance including point-to-point checks, sensor calibration and software backups.
