Job summary

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services in Wilmington, NC seeks a BAS Installer Lead to supervise a skilled team in installing and maintaining building automation systems for commercial and industrial clients.

You will plan daily tasks, mentor installers, enforce safety standards, coordinate with project managers, troubleshoot issues, and keep detailed records while updating clients on progress and addressing questions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of BAS installation and maintenance experience.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of BAS installers in installation and maintenance of building automation systems.
• Plan and organize daily tasks for the team, assign duties, and ensure work is completed on time.
• Train and mentor new team members in proper installation techniques and procedures.
• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the installation process.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or questions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
