Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Controls Service Technician in the Columbus, OH area to support building automation and HVAC control systems across commercial facilities. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer-facing service to ensure reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in building automation or related field service.
• Hands-on experience with BAS and DDC systems.
• Ability to read control drawings and sequences of operation.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues within building automation and HVAC control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, system checks, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot control panels, sensors, actuators, and networks; modify sequences as needed.
• Support system upgrades, retrofits, and expansions of BAS installations.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate system records; ensure safety and compliance.
