Jobot is seeking a BAS Design Engineer to design Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for commercial and industrial HVAC applications in Illinois.

You will develop control drawings, sequences of operation, and engineering submittals, collaborating with project managers, sales, and installation teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of BAS/DDC engineering, applications engineering, or HVAC controls design.

BAS Design Engineer – HVAC Controls & Building Automation
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Position: We are looking for an experienced BAS Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This position focuses on designing Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for commercial and industrial HVAC applications, including new construction and retrofit projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, building automation, and controls design. You’ll work closely with project managers, sales, and installation teams to develop detailed engineering packages that support successful project execution.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in BAS/DDC engineering, applications engineering, or HVAC controls design.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, mechanical systems, and electrical controls.
• Experience designing control systems for AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and central plants.
• Understanding of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, and third-party equipment integration.
• Experience developing control schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering submittals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, and other engineering/design software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple project teams.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
