Job summary

EMCOR Services Automated Controls is seeking a BAS Design Engineer to architect building automation systems and energy management schemes. You will create control schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation at project outset, then guide implementation with cross-functional teams.

You will design automatic temperature control solutions, program logic, and compile material lists while coordinating with clients and partners to meet project plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years' experience designing, programming, or engineering automation/control systems.
• Experience with BAS/DDC or PLC programming is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, and BAS networking.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop BAS, including DDC controls, using advanced engineering principles.
• Interpret construction documents to produce control system designs and architectures.
• Develop and program control logic and integrate third-party systems (BACnet, Modbus).
• Provide technical leadership during commissioning to ensure design intent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design and execution.
