Job summary

EMCOR Services Automated Controls, a Debra-Kuempel brand, is seeking a Building Automation Systems Design Engineer to design system architecture, set installation plans, and lead early project pacing. You will design automatic temperature control and energy management systems, producing control schematics and wiring diagrams.

You will also program sequences of operation and integrate third‑party systems (BACnet/Modbus) while providing technical leadership during commissioning to ensure design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering.
• 5 years' experience designing, programming, or engineering automation/control systems.
• 2+ years BAS/DDC or PLC experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop BAS, including DDC controls, using advanced engineering principles and industry standards.
• Exercise independent judgment in system design, control strategies, and engineering solutions.
• Interpret construction documents to produce control system designs, submittals, and system architectures.
• Develop and program control logic and integrate third‑party systems (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
• Provide technical leadership during commissioning to ensure systems meet design intent.
• Select and specify control components and maintain accurate project documentation.
