Job summary

EMCOR Services Automated Controls, a Debra-Kuempel brand, seeks a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Design Engineer to craft system architecture, set installation plans, and establish project pacing at initiation. You will also design automatic temperature control and energy management systems including control schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering.
• 2+ years of BAS/DDC or PLC experience may substitute for a degree.
• 5 years' experience designing, programming, or engineering automation/control systems.
• Experience with BACnet or Modbus preferred.
• Proficiency with schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, MS Office, and BAS networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop BAS, including DDC controls, using advanced engineering principles and industry standards.
• Exercise independent judgment in system design and control strategies to meet project requirements.
• Interpret construction documents to produce control system designs and submittals.
• Develop and program control logic and integrate third-party systems (BACnet, Modbus).
• Provide technical leadership during commissioning to ensure design intent.
