Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe in Birmingham, AL seeks a friendly server to provide responsive service and help create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. This role emphasizes brunch culture, guest interaction, and delivering a little lagniappe to inspire raving fans.

You should be able to communicate with guests, have basic dining room knowledge, and operate the POS system. The job requires standing for long periods and lifting trays up to 25 lbs, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our Guests.
• Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Possess basic math skills and can responsibly handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food weighing up to 20–25 lbs.

What does it take to be a Ruby Krewe Member?

• A firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better!
• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our Guests
• Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
• Possess basic math skills and can responsibly handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25lbs
