To serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers and act as a lounge cashier.
Essential Job Functions

- Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders, and mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
- Maintain proper setup of the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, condiments, and produce based on daily projections.
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetables, juices, and perishables daily to ensure quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, verify charges, record transactions, and balance cash drawers.
- Secure all beverages, food, and equipment, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank.
- Answer the bar phone promptly, take room service orders courteously, input orders into the POS system, and create guest checks to maintain accountability.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to meet health standards.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety, and security procedures, including emergency protocols and use of protective equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, property damage, or loss to supervisors.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per the team member handbook.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
- Assist other beverage personnel as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
- Hold a current Food Handler Card.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including alcoholic beverages.
- Basic math skills for operating cash registers, making change, and handling charges.
- Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
- Sufficient manual dexterity for garnishing, handling glassware, and stock retrieval.
- Basic English communication skills to understand inquiries and give instructions.
- Ability to follow written product instructions safely.
- Ability to remember and promote menu items.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment like coffee makers.
Physical Demands
- Transport up to 30 lbs. frequently through crowded areas.
- Lift a maximum of 30 lbs.
- Constant standing and walking; frequent twisting, bending, reaching, and other physical activities.
