Job summary

Palms Las Vegas is seeking a Bartender who will be knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, and maintain the bar's appearance. You will make and serve drinks according to recipes, provide food service as needed, and handle cash.

You will train Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter, maintain bar inventory, resolve guest complaints, and perform other duties as requested. Must meet regulatory requirements such as Nevada Gaming Registration, TAM card and Health

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to secure and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
• Must obtain a TAM card.
• Must obtain a Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure bar is in good working order and clean.
• Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections.
• Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow cash handling procedures.
• Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on bar operations and guest service.
• Maintain bar inventory according to pars and internal controls.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority and report incidents as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections as well as maintaining the appearance of the bar.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar
• Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
• Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
• Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending
• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
• Perform other job-related duties as requested
