Job Overview

Full‑time or Part‑time position. Base pay is $18.42 per hour, and the role is eligible for tips. The bartender welcomes guests with warmth and professionalism, engages them with beverage recommendations, and ensures a welcoming environment. This position supports a fast‑paced bar area, emphasizing timely and precise service.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service throughout the guest’s dining experience.
• Assist guests with menu options and recommend beverages and food items based on preferences and dietary needs.
• Create and pour cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non‑alcoholic beverages according to JOEY recipes and standards.
• Input orders accurately and promptly in the point‑of‑sale system.
• Monitor the delivery of guest beverage and food orders.
• Prepare final guest checks quickly and process payments securely.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with urgency, poise, and good judgment.
• Enforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol sales in compliance with state law.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 1 year of bartending experience (high potential candidates with less experience may also be considered).
• Must hold or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Passion for hospitality and a proven track record of delivering world‑class experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced work environment.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
