Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Adheres to liquor laws and regulations, including serving alcohol responsibly and preventing sales to minors or intoxicated guests.
2. Sets up the bar, stocks all necessary supplies including beer, wine, spirits, garnishes, glassware, and ice.
3. Maintains stock and quality of garnishes, juices, and perishables.
4. Greets guests courteously and promptly.
5. Takes and processes drink orders, mixes and garnishes drinks, and practices portion control.
6. Checks guest IDs for proper identification.
7. Detects and responds to guest intoxication as trained, demonstrating liquor law knowledge.
8. Handles cash transactions accurately, verifies charges, and records transactions.
9. Secures beverages, food, equipment, and cash at the end of shifts.
10. Performs cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards.
11. Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Washes and sterilizes stemware.
13. Performs additional duties as assigned.
