Job summary

The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North in Atlanta, GA is seeking a friendly, energetic Bartender to join our team. You will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, provide excellent guest service, and maintain a clean, organized bar in compliance with state regulations.

You will handle orders in Micros, balance cash, and ensure accurate documentation while promoting menu items. Prior hotel/bar experience is preferred, and strong communication with guests and colleagues is essential.

Overview

Seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Bartender to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing excellent customer service. Maintains a clean and organized bar are while ensuring compliance with all alcohol service regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. T
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Inputs orders into Micros and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all money.
• Locks and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.

Qualifications and Skills

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
