Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality in New York City seeks a part-time bartender to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare beverages, take orders, present menus, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining knowledge of cocktails and wine styles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years bartender experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
• Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails
• Basic familiarity with wine varietals and classic regions around the world

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages for guests and venue servers, take orders, and provide full food/beverage service.
• Interact with guests, team members, and supervisors in a courteous manner to ensure hospitality.
• Present menus, answer questions, and suggest food and beverage items.
• Solicit allergy or dietary restrictions from guests.
• Enter orders into the POS system and handle cash/card procedures.
• Ensure timely delivery of drinks to guests at bar/lounge and maintain bar cleanliness.
• Maintain bar areas and par levels; organize liquor displays and equipment.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and assist with training and meetings.
• Communicate guest needs to front-of-house and kitchen staff.
• Work as part of a team, support colleagues, and maintain professional appearance.
