Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Austin University Capitol District is seeking a bartender to craft beverages and light bites, serve guests with warmth, and maintain a clean, organized bar area.

You will verify IDs, handle orders, follow safety and sustainability guidelines, and contribute to guest satisfaction scores. Previous bartending or mixology experience is required or training; TIPS certification is a plus, and a Food Sanitation certificate is expected within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• TIPS certification a plus.
• Bartending/mixology experience required or equivalent training.
• Food sanitation certificate required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organize bar areas.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Check identification for alcohol service.
• Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders.
• Take orders and serve food/beverage to guests at tables in bar/lounge, if applicable.
• Process guest checks and payments.
• Identify and manage intoxicated guests per standards.
• Maintain beverage inventory and par levels.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits and comply with MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
