Job summary

Tempo By Hilton San Diego Del Mar is seeking a friendly Bartender to join our opening team. You will handle set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar, providing guests with a welcoming, efficient service.

You will greet guests, prepare drinks, maintain standards, know pairings, promote specials, manage orders in the POS, and work closely with the team to ensure a memorable experience. This role offers medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO, and travel discounts.

Qualifications

• 1-year previous bartender experience required.
• Food Handlers Card Required.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and explain specials and items on the menu.
• Prepare drinks to industry and brand standards.
• Maintain knowledge of service timing standards and serve guests accordingly.
• Know food pairings and recommended wines or beverages.
• Promote daily specials and beverages.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, promotions and prep time.
• Perform responsible alcohol service per brand standards.
• Work in a team environment and assist other staff as needed.
• Enter all orders into the POS.
