Location:

• We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time BARTENDER positions.
• Address: PITT - University Club, 123 University Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Note: online applications accepted only.

• Requirement: No experience necessary. Willing to train!

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to liquor regulations regarding serving minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up bars; stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, garnishes, juices, and perishables.
• Maintains stock and prepares garnishes, juices, and perishables.
• Greets guests courteously.
• Takes and processes drink orders; mixes and garnishes drinks; practices portion control.
• Checks guest IDs for proper identification.
• Detects and acts on guest inebriation; demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
• Handles cash, makes change, verifies charges, records transactions, and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
• Secures beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash.
• Performs cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards.
• Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
