Responsibilities

• Verify guest identification and check for appropriate ID.
• Determine and act upon guest intoxication; adhere to liquor laws.
• Receive cash, make change, verify charges, and process vouchers.
• Lock up and secure cash drops, deposits, and inventory; tidy bar area.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
• Wash and sterilize stemware.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
• Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Take and process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and maintain portion control.
• Verify guest identification and check for appropriate ID.
• Determine and act upon guest inebriation as trained; demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
• Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits, and cash drops; secure bank.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
• Wash and sterilize stemware.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
