Job summary

Cafe Herrera in Dallas seeks an enthusiastic bartender to deliver friendly service and craft properly mixed drinks while maintaining a clean, high-quality bar. You will engage guests, upsell menu items, and ensure compliance with liquor laws in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include restocking, cash handling with MICROS, and providing courteous service; flexible scheduling including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift.
• Effective communication in person and by telephone.
• Basic MICROS knowledge and cash handling experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain Texas TABC & Food Handler certification if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks to guests and servers.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of liquors, beers and wines.
• Upsell and suggestively sell food and beverages.
• Restock bar with essential products and equipment.
• Observe liquor liability laws and check IDs.
• Monitor alcohol intake and refuse service to the intoxicated.
• Communicate with guests and respond to feedback positively.
• Work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
