Job summary

Omni Dallas Hotel in downtown Dallas is seeking enthusiastic Bartenders to join the Cafe Herrera team, delivering exceptional service in a vibrant bar environment. You will maintain a clean, high-quality bar and provide friendly, engaging guest experiences.

Responsibilities include mixing drinks, knowledge of liquors/wines, upselling food and beverages, restocking, complying with liquor laws, and ensuring guests are of legal drinking age. Ability to work flexible hours is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Excellent communication by phone and in person.
• Basic MICROS knowledge.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Must obtain Texas TABC and Food Handler certifications on hire if not certified.
• Capable of fast-paced, courteous service with guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers.
• Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers and wines.
• Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverage to guests.
• Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment.
• Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
• Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is served only to those patrons of legal drinking age.
• Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated.
• Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues.
