Job summary

Caesars Entertainment Corp. is hiring a bartender at Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe. The role delivers prompt beverage service, maintains stock and follows bar policies while representing the Caesars brand onsite.

The position requires at least 2 years of bar experience, 21+ years old, fluent English, and strong guest service skills. Expect to work in a fast-paced, casino environment with physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Stock bar with supplies and monitor monthly inventories.

• Manage cash bank and record transactions for the shift.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary station per policy and standards.
• Stay informed on promotions and menu items; communicate with guests.

Provides prompt, courteous beverage service to guests, while following all Department Service Standards and Bar Policies

Responsibilities

• Ensures the bar is stocked with all supplies and liquor. Calculates ending inventories each month.
• Provides fast, efficient, courteous and professional service.
• Adheres to department policies on number of orders and drinks to be served at one time
• Prepares drinks according to prescribed recipes.
• Rings in all prepared drinks on POS, following established procedures.
• Accounts for assigned bank, all money received and all transactions recorded during shift.
• Maintains assigned station in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with department service standards and job functions.
• Keeps informed of new promotional beverage programs.
• Reads and initials all posted department memos.
• Familiarizes self with food menu and preparation times so that correct information is given to guests.
• Familiarizes self with, and adheres to, the principles of excellent guest service and interactive skills.

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred
• At least 2 years of prior bar experience as a bartender and use of POS systems
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Literacy and fluency in English
• Above average communication and interactive skills
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
• Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures

Additional Requirements

• Ability to carry orders and lift trays weighing up to 60 lbs
• Mobility to move around the station quickly
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Ability to grasp, finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination

• Ability to bend, squat, reach and climb stairs
• Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
• Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
• Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment .
