Job summary

HHM Hotels in Brookline, MA seeks a bartender to craft beverages and food with a focus on guest satisfaction. You will maintain a clean bar, verify IDs, prepare drinks, take and deliver orders, handle payments, and support inventory while upholding EarthView sustainability and safety guidelines.

Previous bartending or mixology experience is required or equivalent training; a high school diploma is preferred and a Food Sanitation certificate is a plus (required within 90 days).

Qualifications

• Previous bartending/mixologist experience required or equivalent training.
• High school diploma preferred.
• TIPS certification a plus.
• Food Sanitation certificate a plus, required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized bar areas.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
• Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders.
• Take orders and serve and clear food and beverages to guests seated at tables in bar/lounge areas.
• Issue guest check and complete payment process.
• Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests.
• Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Complete required side work prior to shift end.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Assist with taking beverage inventory.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits and follow MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
