Macy’s in Chicago is seeking a Bartender to provide caring hospitality in a full-service restaurant environment, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages in compliance with company, Health Department, and state/federal regulations.

You will follow recipes, handle cash, operate the POS, balance sales, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while delivering friendly service to guests during day, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide caring hospitality in a full-service restaurant environment by preparing and serving alcoholic beverages according to company, Health Department, and State and Federal regulations.
• Adhere to company policy and State and Federal regulations regarding service of alcohol.
• Prepare and present all beverages following recipes and merchandising standards.
• Balance and record all sales, turn in accountability forms, charge slips, and cash to manager.
• Effectively operate POS system to ring in orders and handle cash transactions.
• Open and close area following appropriate checklist, verifying completion with Manager on Duty.
