Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Newark, NJ is looking for a Bartender to join our Front of House team, where you will craft beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails while delivering warm, guest‑focused service behind the bar. You’ll help guests explore menu pairings and ensure a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

As part of the bar team, you’ll manage orders, assist with To‑Go requests, keep the bar clean and organized, and uphold safety and responsible‑service standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more per day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset and ability to maintain positive relations with team.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive at the bar.
• Craft beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails to Firebirds standards with consistency.
• Guide guests through menu offerings with confident recommendations and pairings.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver attentive, personalized hospitality.
• Accurately manage orders, POS entry, and payments with efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and Firebar area.
• Support To-Go orders and collaborate with teammates for seamless service.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and uphold safety standards.
