Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Bartender to join our Front of House team. You’ll create a warm, welcoming bar experience, craft beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails to Firebirds standards, and engage guests with confident recommendations.

You’ll help guests choose menu pairings, deliver attentive hospitality, manage orders and payments, uphold safety and cleanliness, and collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more per day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset with positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming bar experience from the moment guests arrive at the bar.
• Craft beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails to Firebirds standards with consistency and care.
• Guide guests through menu offerings with confident recommendations and pairings.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver attentive hospitality.
• Accurately manage orders, POS entries, and payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and Firebar area.
• Support To-Go orders and collaborate with teammates for seamless service.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and guest safety.
