Job summary

Ember & Oak in Parsons, KS is seeking a friendly, professional Bartender to join our opening team at the new 6,500 sq ft restaurant and event space. You will greet guests, mix and serve beverages, take orders, and help create a welcoming atmosphere.

Must be at least 21, with hospitality or bar experience preferred. You’ll work in a fast-paced setting, maintain a clean bar, handle payments, and collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to deliver memorable service.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Ember & Oak standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and other beverages.
• Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Make recommendations and answer guest questions regarding beverages and menu items.
• Verify identification and ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar area.
• Process guest payments and handle cash and card transactions.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, management, and teammates.
