Job summary

Ember & Oak in Parsons, KS is seeking a full-time bartender to provide exceptional beverage service and create a welcoming experience for guests.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, preparing cocktails, beer, wine and spirits, taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean bar. Applicants should be 21+, have customer-service experience, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle multiple orders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Ember & Oak standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and other beverage offerings.
• Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Make recommendations and answer guest questions regarding beverages and menu items.
• Verify identification and ensure all guests purchasing or consuming alcohol meet age requirements.
• Monitor guests responsibly and recognize when alcohol service should be discontinued.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar area.
• Accurately process guest payments and handle cash and credit transactions.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, management, and other team members.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and restocking the bar.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Ember & Oak.
• Other duties as assigned.
