Highgate Hotels in Seattle seeks an experienced Bartender to set up the bar and craft drinks for guests and servers. You will maintain bar cleanliness, manage liquor inventory, and ensure prompt, friendly service while handling cash and card transactions.

The role requires flexibility, the ability to stand throughout shifts, and adherence to liquor laws. Prior bartending experience is beneficial, and comprehensive benefits are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state law.
• Flexible schedule and long hours sometimes required.
• Stand for the entire shift; maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.
• Previous bartending experience helpful; communicate clearly with guests and staff.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming; comply with hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up the bar and mix drinks for guests and servers.
• Maintain service quality, cleanliness, and liquor inventory control.
• Process guest checks, cash and room charges according to standards.
• Prepare beverages and cocktails according to standards for mixing and presentation.
• Serve guests in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• Stock and clean glassware; ensure lounge areas are tidy.
• Follow state liquor laws and assist in managing beverage costs.
• Attend hotel meetings and trainings; participate in ongoing safety practices.
