Job summary

Oak View Group seeks a bartender to service beverages at events in the Baltimore area. This part-time role pays an hourly rate of $8.75 and is eligible for tips.

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean workstation, ensuring compliance with alcohol regulations, and providing friendly guest service during fast-paced events. Requirements include six months of bartending experience, a high school diploma or GED, accurate cash handling, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Bartending school preferred.
• Accurate cash handling skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be flexible with schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid alcohol compliance certification before working events.

Responsibilities

• Meet the company standard for excellence in guest service and teamwork.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and state/federal regulations.
• Upsell products to guests with knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
• Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards.
• Check IDs to verify minimum age requirements for alcohol.
• Communicate a cut-off to guests as required.
• Respond to customer requests or concerns promptly.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and involve management if needed.
• Manage the issued bar bank and financial responsibilities.
• Set up and break down bar equipment and assist with cooler organization.
