Salary: $7.40 per hour (plus tips)

Hemenways is a renowned downtown riverside restaurant known for serving only the freshest seafood and offering genuine hospitality. It is part of the Newport Restaurant Group, which is 100% employee‑owned.

About the Position

In the Bartender role, you will mix and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks to patrons in the bar and dining area.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from customers or wait staff
• Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Serve wine and draft or bottled beer
• Assist with orders or requisitions for liquors and supplies

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high‑volume restaurant
• Flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
• Alcohol safety certification

• Ability to lift and move 25‑50 pounds
