TAKODA Restaurant & Beer Garden is looking to hire a few part-time Bartenders. TAKODA offers a vibrant and easygoing drinking, dining, and entertainment experience in the Shaw neighborhood. We seek enthusiastic bartenders to provide excellent guest service. Join our team and be part of one of the fastest-growing Hospitality Groups in DC!

Responsibilities

1. Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for customers
2. Interact with customers, take orders, and serve drinks and snacks
3. Assess customer needs and preferences, make recommendations
4. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
5. Check IDs to verify legal drinking age
6. Restock and replenish bar supplies
7. Ensure an excellent guest experience
8. Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

1. Knowledge of drink mixing, garnishing, and serving
2. Computer literacy
3. Knowledge of a second language is a plus
4. Positive attitude and strong communication skills
5. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean

Compensation: Starting at $10/hour plus tips, with average total earnings of $20-$30/hour in DC. Tips are in addition to the base pay.

Job Types: Part-time / Full-time
