SpringHill Suites by Marriott Tifton is seeking a friendly Part-Time Bartender to deliver welcoming beverage service at the lobby bar and assist with a limited food menu. The role involves independent work in a relaxed hotel setting, with evening shifts and Saturday availability required.

Responsibilities include mixing cocktails, serving beer and wine, handling payments via POS, and maintaining bar cleanliness and stock.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Preferred bartending experience, but not required for strong hospitality or customer service background.
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with guests.
• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Available to work 3–4 evening shifts per week, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to hotel guests and bar patrons.
• Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Prepare items from a limited food menu, including reheating and assembling snacks and light dishes.
• Verify identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with laws and hotel policies.
• Process transactions using the hotel's POS system and handle cash/credit card payments.
• Close and open duties, set up and secure the bar area.
• Maintain stock levels of beverages, food, glassware, and supplies.
• Keep the bar and prep areas clean and sanitary.
• Monitor inventory and communicate needs to management.
• Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Position Description

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Part-Time Bartender to join our team. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests while providing beverage service at our Lobby Bar and preparing items (snacks/small plates) from our limited food menu.

The ideal candidate has a strong hospitality mindset, enjoys interacting with guests, and is comfortable working independently in a relaxed hotel bar environment. Previous bartending experience is preferred; however, a strong customer service or hospitality background and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Our bar is open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 PM-10:00 PM. This position will typically work 3-4 shifts per week from approximately 4:30 PM-10:30 PM. Saturday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to hotel guests and bar patrons
• Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
• Prepare items from a limited food menu, including reheating and assembling snacks and light food offerings
• Verify identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with applicable laws and hotel policies
• Accurately process guest transactions using the hotel's point-of-sale system and properly handle cash and credit card payments
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up and securing the bar area
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of beverages, food products, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift
• Keep the bar, food preparation areas, equipment, and guest seating areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Monitor inventory and communicate product or supply needs to management
• Engage with guests and help create a welcoming atmosphere that contributes to an exceptional overall hotel experience
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and hotel operating procedures

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Previous bartending experience preferred, but not required for candidates with a strong hospitality or customer service background
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with guests
• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain attentive to guests while managing beverage and food service responsibilities
• Must be available to work approximately 3-4 evening shifts per week, including Saturdays

Schedule

Part-Time | 3-4 Shifts Per Week

Typical Shift: 4:30 PM-10:30 PM

Bar Hours: Monday-Saturday | 5:00 PM-10:00 PM

Saturday availability is required.

Compensation

$11.00 per hour + tips
