Job summary

Rocking K in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a bartender eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced hospitality property. You will stock, mix and serve beverages, maintain inventory and ensure service excellence while upholding state liquor laws and company standards.

Responsibilities include supporting seasonal cocktail development, handling POS transactions, and assisting with events. A high school diploma or GED plus relevant experience is required; ServSafe or TIPS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems (POSITOUCH, MICROS) preferred.
• ServSafe Certification (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Stock bar, mix and serve beverages, assist with cost control and inventory records.
• Assist with creation of seasonal cocktails and menu development.
• Assist with Social Media content and scheduling.
• Maintain inventory control and communicate needs to management.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and company procedures.
• Handle guest requests and concerns; manage opening/closing duties including cash handling.

General Purpose:

Makesand serves guests delicious beveragesin accordance withestablishedstandards and with hospitality and professionalism.Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages,assistsin cost control, inventory andmaintainsinventory records.
• Assistsdepartment leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu
• Assistsdepartment leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with managementin a timely mannerwhen supplies are needed.
• Ensurecompliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
• Communicatesguest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limitedtoinventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, andspecial events.
• Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Onoccasionwillservemeals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties asrequired.

MinimumRequirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g.POSITOUCH and MICROS)

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells andsits. Frequentlylifts upto 25 pounds.Occasionally maylift upto 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafeCertified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
