Job summary

Pinetop Country Club, situated in Pinetop, AZ, is seeking a personable Bartender to craft and serve beverages per established standards in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will stock, mix, and serve drinks, assist with seasonal cocktails, and ensure compliance with liquor laws. Role includes opening/closing duties, cash handling, and event service, with opportunities to grow within the Troon organization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 months related experience or training.
  • Must meet state age requirements for alcohol.
  • ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, understanding).

Responsibilities

  • Stock bar, mix and serve beverages, assist in inventory and cost control.
  • Assist in creation of seasonal cocktails and menu development.
  • Assist with Social Media schedule and content creation.
  • Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and procedures.
  • Open/close duties including cash handling and POS transactions.
  • Serve catered parties and assist during events.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. General Purpose

Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

  • Stock bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, assist in cost control, inventory and maintain inventory records.
  • Assist department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu.
  • Assist department leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content.
  • Maintain inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicate with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
  • Communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
  • Perform opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilize Point of Sales System.
  • Review banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
  • Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
  • On occasion will serve meals to guests.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements

Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS).

Physical Demands

Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses

ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace.
  • Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
