SCHEDULE: Part-Time

WORK LOCATION: San Diego, CA (Miramar)

ROLE SUMMARY: The Bartender performs daily bar operations and maintains established operating procedures to provide the highest level of customer service while creating a positive environment and experience for guests. They multitask and manage a fast-paced workflow while taking orders and preparing classic and innovative beverages. They continue to engage with guests to ensure they’re happy with their experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Consistently deliver excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele.
2. Create authentic, custom guest experiences through a high level of attention to detail and service.
3. Enter orders into the POS system correctly and process payments.
4. Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring all funds in the cash drawer are accurate and accounted for at the end of the shift.
5. Monitor patron intoxication levels, respond appropriately, and alert management.
6. Identify customer issues and work with management when needed to resolve promptly while maintaining a safe and positive environment.
7. Unpack deliveries and stock the bar. Change beer kegs.
8. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the bar, service stations, storage areas, and all other work stations.
9. Support the bar team by juicing, stocking, prepping, rotating kegs, products, and flatware when needed.
10. Display genuine enthusiasm for the brand, products, and company mission.
11. Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on customer questions and assessment of customer needs and preferences.
12. Check customer identification in compliance with law and Tasting Room standards.
13. Perform all opening and closing tasks daily.
14. Manage multiple tasks, including fulfilling duties as a busser, food runner, and server.
15. Embrace and fulfill the core values and culture of Cutwater Spirits.
16. Other duties as requested.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Two or more years working in the food service industry required.
3. Two or more years of cocktail-heavy bartending experience preferred.
4. Must obtain food handler’s certificate and RABS within the first 30 days of employment.
