Job Summary The Bourbon Group, one of Salt Lake City’s most beloved brands, is currently seeking Bartenders to join our downtown teams!
Our mission is to help our guests by curating a dine-in experience that brings people together around the table to enjoy great cuisine and cocktails featuring some of the largest spirits collections in the country.
Our menu highlights our craft kitchen items, prepared using locally sourced ingredients. We also feature a full bar that includes an impressive selection of wine and craft beers.

The Bourbon Group Bartender position is committed to creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest. Bartenders should be warm and welcoming promoting a comfortable drinking and dining environment. Bartenders are always on time and prepared for their shifts. They go out of their way to please the guest and are never inconvenienced by special requests. Bartenders must communicate clearly with diners to meet their needs and display extensive knowledge of the menu and products. The Bartender is expected to promote teamwork by cooperating with management and collaborating whenever possible with other team members.
Responsibilities
Follows all policies and procedures
Completes all assigned opening, running, closing duties and side work
On-time and attends all shift meetings
Follows all health and alcohol beverage service standards
Greet and guide guests through our ordering and payment process
Take orders from customers for food and beverages following all steps of service guidelines
Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their visit and take action to correct any problems
Maintain a working knowledge of food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time
Upselling by being proactive with suggestive selling and prompt service and alerting guests of specials, and new or seasonal items
Delivering food and beverages
Maintain a clean workspace, adhering to food safety sanitation, and safety guidelines
Communicate customer orders to kitchen staff
Collect customer payments and provide a change in a timely and courteous manner
Clear and sanitizing tables
Ensuring that all guests leave happy
Qualifications
Current Utah Food Handler and DABC Certifications are required within 30 days of hire
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellence guest relations skills
High guest satisfaction expectations and focus

Bourbon Group offers medical, dental, and vision benefits to all of our full-time (30+ hours/week) Team Members. The Bourbon Group pays 65% of medical for qualified Team Members. Eligibility begins the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
Perks: Team Members receive 50% off meals on and off shift. This discount extends to 3 guests when dining off duty. Discount is available at all our locations.

Paid Vacation: Management receives two weeks of paid vacation per year. Vacation increases to three weeks following 5 years of employment.
