Job summary

Babcock National Golf Club in Punta Gorda, FL seeks a bartender to join our fast-paced hospitality team. You will mix and serve beverages, manage bar stock, and handle cash transactions while ensuring compliance with state liquor laws.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of bartending experience, a GED/HS diploma, and knowledge of cocktails and wines. Alcohol Awareness Training is preferred, with opportunities for growth within Troon-managed properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year bartending experience or training.
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.

Responsibilities

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, and assists in inventory control.
• Maintains inventory records and communicates needs to management.
• Ensures compliance with state liquor laws and standard procedures.
• Performs opening/closing duties including cash handling and restocking.
• Operates POS system for checks and cash transactions.
• Assists with banquet events and catered parties.

Babcock National Golf Club, located in Punta Gorda, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Occasionally serves meals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Bartender:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.

Other Qualifications:

• Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.
