Wigle Whiskey Distillery in Pittsburgh is seeking a positive, self-motivated bartender to join the Front-of-House team. You will prepare cocktails, pour drinks, and ensure a legendary guest experience.

Qualifications include 21+ years old, liquor/wine knowledge, and a commitment to top-tier guest service. RAMP certification is required on day one. On-call shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for Wigle products, creating craft cocktails, and providing a legendary guest experience to join our Front-of-House team at Wigle Whiskey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives orders from patrons and wait staff.
• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
• Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
• Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized.
• Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
• Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
• Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
• Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.
• Stocks refrigerating units with mixers, garnishes, and bottled beer.
• Stocks liquor and taps kegs.
• Removes empty bottles and trash.
• Takes food orders and delivers to guests.
• Assists with menu creation, including classic and seasonal cocktails and mocktails.
• Assists bartenders with washing glassware and cutting and preparing condiments and garnishes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines.
• Display strong guest service skills at all times.
• Obtain certification for the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) on the first day of hire.
• Must be able to accurately and efficiently calculate basic mathematical solutions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of back-of-the-house, ordering, and inventory systems.
• Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, weekends and holidays.
