Job summary

Pittsburgh Spirits is seeking a positive and self-motivated wait staff member for Wigle North Shore Bar in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate should enjoy working with people and have strong customer service skills as they assist guests with their dining experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they are seated at the table; ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
• Distributes menus and presents the daily specials
• Answer questions regarding the menu and our products
• Take food and beverage orders and input into POS system
• Returns food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals
• Prepares customers’ checks and collects payments
• Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• RAMP certification is required on the first day of employment
• Previous food and beverage experience (preferred)
• ServSafe certification is a plus
• Must possess strong customer service skills
• Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, weekends, and holidays
