Job summary

Miskiri Hospitality Group in Baltimore, MD seeks a skilled Bartender to deliver energetic, guest-centered service behind the bar in a fast-paced venue. You will craft cocktails, beer, and wine to standard recipes, greet guests, suggest pairings, handle cash and tabs, and maintain a clean, well-stocked station.

This role requires 18+ (21+ where legal), prior bartending experience, and valid alcohol certification.

Qualifications

• Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) required or obtained upon hire.
• Working knowledge of classic and craft cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Basic math skills for cash, tabs, and inventory.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard and signature recipes, ensuring consistency and quality on every pour
• Greet and engage guests at the bar, take orders accurately, and make menu recommendations (cocktails, beer, wine, and food pairings)
• Check guest IDs and monitor alcohol consumption responsibly; refuse service when appropriate in line with state law and company policy
• Operate the POS system to enter orders, process payments, and manage tabs accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar station, including restocking garnishes, glassware, and liquor
• Follow all recipes, portioning, and pouring standards to control cost and maintain consistency
• Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation standards; maintain a clean bar area throughout the shift
• Communicate and coordinate with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to a manager when needed
• Assist with opening/closing bar duties, including inventory counts and cash-out procedures
• Support promotions and specials (e.g., happy hour, seasonal cocktails) as directed by management
