Role Description

The Bartender role at 151 HOSPITALITY is a full-time, on-site position located in Phoenix, AZ. The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following standardized recipes and company guidelines. Daily tasks include greeting guests, taking drink orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring that all beverages are presented accurately and promptly. The role involves setting up and breaking down the bar, maintaining cleanliness and organization, restocking supplies, and managing cash and payment transactions. The bartender also checks identification to verify legal drinking age, follows all safety and responsible service protocols, and collaborates with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to support a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on creating positive, welcoming, and attentive guest experiences.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal interaction with guests and team members, and the ability to handle busy or high-pressure situations professionally.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage, including drink recipes, bar menu items, basic food pairings, and safe handling practices.
• Proficiency in Bartending, including mixing and serving drinks, operating bar equipment, and adhering to responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Accurate Cash Handling skills, including processing payments, operating POS systems, giving correct change, and following cash control procedures.
• 3 yrs of previous bar or restaurant experience at fine dining or high profile cocktail programs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry bar supplies, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Understanding of local alcohol service regulations and commitment to a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
