Job summary

Naples-Sailing- is seeking a professional Bartender to deliver exceptional service, craft beverages, and maintain a clean, inviting bar in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet guests, prepare cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, manage orders and payments, ensure responsible service, and collaborate with kitchen and management to enhance guest experience. Prior bartending or customer service experience preferred; TIPS certification a plus.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of drink recipes, alcohol types, and bartending techniques.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform physical tasks as required.
  • TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification or other responsible beverage service training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve members/guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere at the bar.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer requests.
  • Take drink orders, suggest beverages based on customer preferences, and provide detailed information about drink ingredients and preparation.
  • Handle necessary charges, ensuring accurate billing and processing of payments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and equipment, and ensure all bar tools are properly stocked.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for bar supplies and ingredients, notifying management when reordering is needed.
  • Ensure all liquor, beer, and wine is served responsibly, following company policies and state/local laws related to alcohol consumption.
  • Check identification of guests to verify legal drinking age and refuse service to any guests who are intoxicated or underage.
  • Interact with members/guests in a friendly and engaging manner, offering recommendations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the preparation and service of bar snacks as needed.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including food safety protocols and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing the bar, including restocking, cleaning, and organizing the bar area.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on new drink trends, products, and company policies.
